  • JOINT UK, GERMAN AND DUTCH SYMPOSIUM 2008 CELL ADHESION AND MIGRATION July 3-5, 2008 - Nijmegen, The Netherlands
    National working groups on cell adhesion/migration have an active life and meet regularly at a national level. To capture current trends in the field and also provide a highly visible platform for young scientists and PIs, every second or third year joint-meetings are being organized, this time a tri-national symposium. They are lively meetings with more than half of the talking time devoted to oral presentations selected from the abstracts and joyful social activities.
    This meeting has an exciting program on adhesion and signaling in immune and cancer cells, their regulation in vitro and in vivo in disease states, as well as related technology, such as molecular life-cell microscopy. So, besides fascinating biology, you can expect to see lots of cool movies.
    In addition, the meeting contains an "Against Dogma Lecture", meant as thought-provoking kick to challenge commonly accepted theories by novel insight. This year, Kairban Hodivala-Dilke from London, UK will talk about surprising in vivo data on interference against integrins that will help to re-think and re-design anti-adhesion therapies.

    Conjuguant un salon en pleine expansion et un congrès scientifique connecté à l’actualité médicale, les JIB réunissent chaque année un nombre croissant d’acteurs de la profession, dont 24% d’étrangers.
